About Ora
A doctor-led guide to Korean dental care.
Korea has exceptional dentists, advanced clinics and a level of detail that deserves more international attention. It also has clinics that are excellent at marketing and less good at care. From abroad those two look identical.
That gap is where patients get hurt, and usually not immediately. It shows up months later, when a crown doesn’t feel right or implants need more follow-up than anyone mentioned. Ora exists to close it.
Who we are
Founded by Dr. John Yoo. Dr. Hosan Park is Head Dental Advisor. Both are dentists, which is what “doctor-led” means here — it describes who runs Ora, not a second opinion on your treatment plan.

What we check, and what we don’t
Before a doctor’s page goes live, a person at Ora opens their medical licence and a photo ID and ticks a checklist — legibility, and the name matching. For a clinic it’s the 개설신고필증 and the 사업자등록증. Both boxes have to be ticked. That is the whole bar, and we call the result verified.
Here is the awkward part. Verified is not endorsed. We check that a clinician is who they say they are and may practise. We do not grade their work, inspect their clinic, or audit their outcomes. Treatment focus, technology, languages and case types are what the clinic tells us about itself, and we label those as theirs.
What Ora is not
Not a dental clinic
We don't diagnose, examine, take X-rays, or give medical advice. A licensed clinician does that, after seeing you.
Not a discount marketplace
Korea can be cheaper. Cheap care is not automatically good care, and a low quote often excludes imaging, materials, a specialist, or the aftercare you actually need.
Not a travel broker
Dentistry isn't a holiday add-on. If you fly for care, the plan should be built around diagnosis, healing and follow-up.
Not an emergency service
Severe swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, heavy bleeding, facial trauma — go to emergency care now, not to a directory.
